Bridge Lacrosse is a sports-based youth development nonprofit serving the urban communities of North Texas. Our mission is to use the sport of lacrosse to broaden the horizons of our community’s youth. We believe that our programs can become an integral part of youth development in the urban communities we serve. Program Director (Dallas)
The Program Director contributes to all aspects of our sports-based youth development programming. Reporting to the Senior Program Director, the Program Director provides all organizational and logistical direction to year-round programs for more than 800 youth, in the southern sector of Dallas County. The Program Director supports the needs of Bridge student-athletes with joy and enthusiasm and understands the impact a lacrosse stick and healthy relationship can have on kids and communities.
Primary Responsibilities
Oversee all daily activities and operations of programming under the direction of the Senior Program Director and Bridge strategic plan
Work in collaboration with community partners and supporters to provide the highest level of program quality and support
Serve as point of contact for all members including parents, youth, volunteers and partners
Coordinate all operational aspects of programs during the year, which could include:
Schedule and manage elements of lacrosse programming. such as practices, games and tournaments
Manage equipment and uniform inventory, ordering, and storage
Coordinate and manage recruitment and retention of players into the program
Ensure all programming is delivered effectively and at the highest-level of quality and impact
Develop and manage college access programming in collaboration with the Senior Program Director
Research and understand community needs in college preparation
Oversee all elements of volunteer and intern training and maintenance
Organize coaches and intern training
Foster and build a culture of family and impact within volunteers
Oversee the performance and development of coaches and interns, provide feedback and accountability to all
Serve as an instructor and role model during camps, demonstrations, clinics and practices and events
Serve as a counselor or staff manager for summer programs
Work in collaboration with the Executive Director, Senior Program Director and Board of Directors to support organizational goals
Support and assist development and fundraising events, as needed
Support and assist marketing and social media efforts, as needed
Skills & Qualifications
We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic individual who believes that sports can play a direct role in providing opportunities to youth. The Program Director believes and excels at maintaining meaningful relationships with all members of our organization. Our ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial and can-do spirit in accomplishing the goals and objectives of Bridge. Lastly, the Program Director must have a great sense of humor and spirit in working with kids on a regular basis.
2+ years of success within a school, direct-service nonprofit or educational institution, preferred
Experience working in fast-paced, youth-centric organization
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
Exceptional work ethic and ability to take initiative on one’s own to address questions and challenges
Passion and commitment to improving the quality of opportunities for urban communities
Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline focused environment
Must have the ability to manage multiple projects and individuals simultaneously
Must be able to manage and comfortably work with large groups of children and/or adults
Must be able to work nights and weekends, when necessary
Valid driver’s license and use of personal vehicle required
Lacrosse coaching background preferred but not required
Computer knowledge and competency a must (Smartsheet, Canva, Adobe CC, and Google Suite)
Bachelor’s Degree in education, childhood development, nonprofit management, sport management preferred
Language skills such as Spanish a plus, experience working with urban youth and/or knowledge of Dallas’ communities and school system a plus

Program Coordinator (Part-Time, Dallas & Austin)
AmeriCorps Members serving with Bridge Lacrosse commit to a designated term of part-time service. The role of AmeriCorps Program Coordinator serves under the Program Director to help provide organizational and logistical direction to the year-round programs so that we are able to reach more community youth.
Primary Responsibilities
Be one point of contact between Bridge Lacrosse and community partners. Usually this means answering questions and being an advocate for Bridge Lacrosse. Occasionally, the Member might have the opportunity to conduct presentations to community groups.
Serve as an instructor and role model during camps, demonstrations, clinics and practices and events
Serve as a point of contact for members including parents, youth, volunteers and partners
Schedule and manage practices, games, tournaments and workshops
Manage equipment and uniform inventory
Ensure all student‐athletes are safely prepared for all activities
Support efforts to coordinate and manage recruitment and retention of players into the program
Ensure member led programming is delivered effectively and at the highest‐level of quality and impact
Train and supervise volunteers and interns
Foster and build a culture of family and impact within volunteers
Oversee the performance and development of volunteer coaches and interns.
This location requires a total service commitment of 675 hours, 23 hours per week.

Living Allowance of $8,100.00; paid out biweekly ($506.25)
